Jeff is an accredited ACC treatment provider, therefore there is the possibility to access ACC funding for your acupuncture treatment related to your qualifying injury on an accepted ACC claim. Generally, once you lodge your claim through a doctor, physio or osteo, you will be preauthorised for up to 12 acupuncture sessions over a 12 week period of time (this number is not effected by any dry needling work done by your physio)

Ōākura Health is unable to actually lodge your accidental injury claim with ACC for you. Once the claim is lodged however, we are able to offer you ACC subsidised treatments. What this means is that you will have to visit your GP, Physio or Osteo in order to get your claim lodged with ACC. Once the claim is accepted, no further referral or permission is required at all; you can forward your claim number and book your appointment at Ōākura Health and we will handle the rest and direct invoice to ACC the portion of the treatment cost that they are obligated to pay on any accepted injury claim.

While we are not able to lodge an initial accidental injury claim for you at Ōākura Health, We are able to lodge treatment extension requests in all cases that meet the criteria set out by ACC. Please speak with Jeff about this at any point during your course of treatment on a specific, approved injury claim.

Your initial ACC session has a surcharge of $75 and follow-up ACC sessions have a surcharge of $70. Your per treatment cost above that is invoiced directly to ACC. Herbs are not covered by ACC … and Hyperbaric oxygen is not covered by ACC at this time (though it definitely should be for head injury and pre-post surgerical applications)

Your initial acupuncture session has an investment of $140 and follow-up sessions, $115. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy sessions carry a fee of between $90 (60 minute session) and $110 (80 minute session | or initial 60-minute hyperbaric session. A one off fee of $10 applies for your mask or cannula and any required mask/cannula replacements. Frequent use discount may be available if you are coming more than three times in a given week.
